Shimano - Transmission specialist

Shimano was born in 1921 in Japan (Osaka) when its founder Shozaburo Shimano embarked on the manufacture of a freewheeling gable.  Thirty years later, the Japanese brand developed the first Shimano derailleur as well as a 3-speed hub and ended in 1973 by developing its first full group for the road: the famous Dura-Ace, which it made known by integrating the peloton professional.
