Description
The Forward Joyride chainring is the brand's accessible performance option for BMX Race. Machined from aluminium and flat-cut to ensure high precision, it features a design that increases stiffness and limits lateral flex — the main flaw of a chainring that is too flexible, resulting in power loss right when you need it most.
This is the 5-bolt, 110 mm BCD version: the historical BMX Race standard, found on many spiders, including older-generation models. With a thickness of 5 mm, it is above average for its category, directly contributing to its torque resistance out of the start gate.
The black finish is the most understated and versatile: it blends seamlessly into any build without clashing. Available in 40 and 41 teeth, two very common gearings in the Expert category. Please note: the 5-bolt Joyride is the most affordable in the Forward range, making it an excellent spare chainring or one for a second bike. Non-threaded drilling: remember to use a matching set of chainring bolts and nuts.
