Description
The Forward Joyride V2 chainring is the premium redesign of the Joyride. The principle remains the same — a block of 6061-T6 aluminium machined and flat-cut to produce a high-precision component whose design boosts stiffness and reduces lateral flex — but the craftsmanship is taken up a clear notch.
The difference is in the finish: machined chamfers across the entire design, and especially a 12 mm chamfer on the nut recesses, which significantly improves hardware seating and load distribution when tightening. All this for just 118 g, with a 5 mm thickness and a 104 mm BCD in a 4-bolt mount.
This anodised red version covers the full span of the range, from 35 to 45 teeth. Important assembly note: Forward recommends nuts of at least 6.5 mm to properly engage the chamfer — check this before reusing your existing hardware.
