Description
The Forward Joyride V2 chainring is the upgraded, premium version of the Joyride. The design principle remains the same — a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminium machined and flat-cut to produce a high-precision component that enhances stiffness and reduces lateral flex — but the finish quality is taken to a whole new level.
The difference is evident in the finish: machined chamfers throughout the entire design, and especially a 12 mm chamfer on the bolt recesses, which significantly improves hardware retention and load distribution during tightening. It maintains a 5 mm thickness, here with a 5-bolt 110 mm BCD mount — the classic BMX Race standard found on many spiders, including older generations.
The black finish is the most understated and versatile: it complements any setup, and the contrast of the machined chamfers stands out brilliantly. Available from 36 to 42 teeth. Important mounting note: Forward recommends nuts of at least 6.5 mm length to properly seat into the chamfer — check this before reusing your existing hardware.
