The MICROSHIFT ADVENT MX Trail Trigger 10-speed right shifter (SL-M7005-R) incorporates the key advance of the ADVENT MX generation: an engagement angle reduced from 12° to 3°. The shift is almost immediate, with very little thumb movement before the gear changes.
The lever runs on a bearing for a crisp, consistent feel, while the aluminium clamp makes fitting straightforward on any mountain bike handlebar. It weighs 122 g.
Its biggest advantage: unlike the 11-speed version, this 10-speed shifter is backwards-compatible with ADVENT X and SWORD derailleurs. It is an easy way to get more responsive shifting on an already-equipped bike without changing the derailleur.
About the name “Black”: microSHIFT offers only one 10-speed ADVENT MX shifter, and it is black. There is no colour choice to make.
