Description
The MICROSHIFT SWORD RD-G7005M rear derailleur is the centrepiece of microSHIFT’s 1x10 gravel drivetrain. Its aluminium medium cage accepts cassettes with sprockets up to 48 teeth, providing a wide gear range without sacrificing chain stability on rough trails.
Its discreetly designed integrated clutch engages instantly and operates particularly quietly. Igus bushings in the parallelogram provide lasting lateral stiffness, while the orbital barrel adjuster pivots up to 15° to reduce cable friction where the housing takes a tight route — a real advantage on modern gravel frames.
Which shifters does it work with? microSHIFT SWORD and ADVENT X shifters. It is not compatible with Shimano cable pull.
Can it be used with 9 speeds? Yes. It is approved for 9- and 10-speed setups, making mixed builds and drivetrain upgrades easier.
Can the cage be repaired? Yes, the cage is replaceable, so a crash need not mean replacing the entire derailleur.
