Description
The MICROSHIFT SWORD RD-G7025L rear derailleur is the double-chainring version for the SWORD gravel drivetrain. Its aluminium long cage has a 44-tooth capacity, enough to handle a 2x crankset paired with a wide-range cassette without compromise.
It features the range’s quiet clutch with an integrated switch: it maintains chain tension on rough ground and can be switched off with one movement to remove the rear wheel. The orbital barrel adjuster and Igus bushings complete a design built to last and stay precise season after season.
How does it differ from the RD-G7005M? The G7005M is the medium-cage 1x model (48-tooth maximum sprocket, 37-tooth capacity). The G7025L is the long-cage 2x model: it has a smaller maximum sprocket (38 teeth), but much greater capacity to accommodate the difference between the two chainrings.
Does it need a particular crankset? It is designed for SWORD 46/29 and 48/31 double cranksets, whose 17-tooth difference between chainrings falls within its capacity.
