PARK TOOL 1/2" Pedal Thread Tap TAP-3

The PARK TOOL TAP-3 (1/2") Pedal Thread Tap is a set of precision-ground taps designed to rescue cranks with pedal threads damaged or cross-threaded during incorrect installation — a common mishap when the left-hand thread on the non-drive-side crank is overlooked.

Made from hardened high-carbon steel, the tap retains its cutting edge over time and fits all standard tap handles (the Park Tool TH-2 is recommended).

The kit includes a pair of taps (right- and left-hand threads) in 1/2"-20, a thread size commonly found on one-piece cranks, particularly on older BMX bikes and entry-level models.

Suitable for cranks made from steel or aluminium alloy.
