"Top for road bikes but not long enough to be used on mountain bikes if wheel held by through axle. A simple solution would have been to use a longer screw to fit all bikes, but VAR didn't make that choice, which is a shame."

I saw afterwards that this hub is not suitable for 12mm hollow axles, only for open dropouts, but this is not specified in the description! With the new screw it works perfectly, hence the 3 *."
