AERON ExtraLite Protect CX-Gravel Inner Tube 650b/700x32-52mm

The AERON ExtraLite Protect CX-Gravel inner tube is the versatile TPU inner tube in the range for gravel and cyclo-cross. AERON/TPU is a brand of the German RTI Sports group — the company behind Ergon — and is manufactured in Austria.

Rated Level 3 “Endurance / High Performance”, it seeks the best balance between puncture protection, low weight and low rolling resistance. This is exactly what a gravel racer expects: enough protection to avoid stopping on a rocky track, and enough lightness for the saving to be noticeable. Bikepackers, meanwhile, would be better served by upgrading to a model with maximum protection.

It covers a 32 to 52 mm range in both 650B and 700C, making it compatible with almost all current gravel and cyclo-cross setups. 56 g with a 42 mm valve, 57 g with a 65 mm valve — around 60% less than an equivalent butyl inner tube. Polymer Presta valve, plus a tiny folded size that frees up space in your saddle bag.

Important: this inner tube is intended for disc-brake bikes. AERON does not approve it for rim brakes, as heat build-up can degrade the TPU.
