The Hayes Feel'R Gage tool is ideal for precisely adjusting a disc brake caliper and is compatible with all brands. The bevelled end of the Feel'R Gage first pushes the pads back without damaging them when the gap between them is too narrow to insert the rotor. The "rotor" section of the Feel'R Gage then replicates the rotor's thickness, making it easy to test that the brake works correctly after an inspection, service or bleed. Finally, the shims around the "rotor" section help position the caliper and set the correct gap between the rotor and pads to prevent unnecessary rubbing.
