The SHIMANO GRX ST-RX820-LA lever belongs to the 12-speed generation of the GRX RX820 range and stands out by integrating the hydraulic brake lever and dropper seatpost control into a single unit. Designed for single-chainring drivetrains, it eliminates the need for an additional dedicated handlebar lever, for a cleaner cockpit and simplified operation.

The hood ergonomics follow the GRX range design: a raised cover and textured surface limit hand slippage, while a non-slip coating covers the brake lever for enhanced control on rough terrain. The hood body has been optimised to fit flared handlebars, typical of modern gravel setups.

Hydraulic braking relies on SERVO WAVE technology, which quickly brings the pads closer to the disc before providing precise modulation of braking power. The dropper seatpost control operates via an Optislick cable with low galvanic coating for smooth routing and improved corrosion resistance, with a pull stroke of just 10 mm. A reach adjustment system, operated with a 2 mm Allen key, allows the lever position to be adapted to hand size.
