Developed and tested in collaboration with Greg Minnaar, the MAXXIS Assegai 29x2.60" 3C MaxxGrip Exo+ tire takes its name from a spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. This makes it the perfect weapon for fighting the mountains.
It features high studs for great traction and support on dry, damp, rooty or rocky terrain.
In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tire is also equipped with an Exo+ carcass, increasing puncture resistance by 27% and pinch resistance by 28%, while improving sidewall durability by 51%. Highly resistant to punctures. It combines two proven technologies: the Silkshield textile layer placed from bead to bead, which improves tread strength, and EXO protection, which reinforces the tire's sidewalls. Durable and lightweight, it is positioned between the Exo and the Double Down.
