Description
The Maxxis DTH tyre — standing for Drop The Hammer — is a BMX Race classic, originally developed for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. This version differs significantly from the wider options in the range: it is designed for 451 Race setups, the larger diameter used on Cruiser and sharpest competition bikes.
Please note, essential compatibility detail: this tyre is 37-451 and does not fit 406 rims, the classic 20-inch standard. Check your rim diameter before ordering.
Its grooved slick tread remains smooth in the centre for pure speed, with side knobs that ensure grip in berms. While 406 versions feature EXO protection, this model incorporates SilkWorm technology: an exclusive layer embedded in the casing to enhance puncture resistance without adding weight. 120 TPI casing, dual-compound rubber, wire bead, maximum pressure 65 PSI (4.5 bar), with a weight of approx. 315 g.
