Description
Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon tire 27.5x2.80 Exo 3C Tubeless Ready with flexible rod is also designed for competition Cross-Country on a standard 27.5 PLUS bicycle, but is designed for highly technical terrain requiring more grip and control.
Featuring a 120 tpi frame, this version is equipped with the triple tread compound MaxxTerra compound, offering an excellent compromise with better traction and more grip than the MaxxSpeed and superior performance to MaxxGrip.
In this version Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tire is also equipped with Exo reinforcement in the sidewall for enhanced protection against abrasion and tearing.

"Very good tire with high sidewall strength that avoids tearing as much as possible, even though it can still happen. Soft rubber that doesn't wear out quickly if you stay on the trails, but avoid road sections that take a greater toll on the rubber. Personally, I recommend this tire for tubeless use, as it offers the maximum of its capabilities in this case. Don't hesitate to "slam" the tire during mounting, so that it settles into place correctly (the use of a compressor is highly recommended!) This tire replaces its ancestor in the same category, with which I've covered over 3,000 km, so I'm all the more satisfied."
