Description

Tested and approved by the brand's top drivers, the MICHELIN Wild AM2 Competition Line tire features an optimum balance of grip, rolling efficiency, longevity, weight and damage resistance for use in mountain biking.

This model has been designed for both mixed and loose terrain, where its more aggressive tread ensures a high level of grip, but with less emphasis on rolling efficiency. The central studs are inspired by those on the DH34, offering maximum ground penetration during braking for good stability and transfer of braking forces in soft conditions. The shoulder studs are again inspired by the DH22, but different from those of the FORCE AM2 to provide a higher level of grip on the corner on mixed and soft soils. This shoulder stud design retains excellent progressiveness of angle setting and a predictive stall character.

The double compound Gum-X Technology features a harder central zone for optimum rolling efficiency and durability, combined with softer rubber on the shoulder lugs for grip in bends. Technology treads Gravity Shield liners use a high-density heel-to-bead fiber for enhanced resistance to impact, sidewall cuts and punctures, coupled with a 3x60 TPI carcass ply for stiffness and stability, while maintaining good levels of comfort.
