Description
The MICROSHIFT SWORD BLACK 1x Crankset is the entry point to single-chainring setups in the SWORD gravel range. Its aluminium narrow-wide chainring retains the chain without a guide, while its JIS square-taper spindle makes it compatible with some of the simplest and most economical bottom brackets on the market — a real advantage when equipping an older frame or touring bike.
At 705–715 g depending on the chainring, it remains light for its category. Its 50 mm chainline provides clearance for high-volume gravel tyres, while four crank arm lengths from 165 to 175 mm suit a range of riders.
Which bottom bracket? A 68x113 mm JIS square-taper bottom bracket for a 68 mm threaded frame.
Can double chainrings be fitted? No: this crankset is dedicated to single-chainring setups. For a 2x build, choose the SWORD BLACK 46/29 or 48/31 crankset.
