The SCOM EVO wheel set wasdesigned for cyclists seeking an optimal balance between performance, stability, and durability. The rim structure is made of Japanese Toray T800 carbon fiber with strategic and extensive reinforcements of Toray T1000. This targeted approach eliminates all excess material to reduce weight while maintaining high lateral stiffness. The result is a lightweight and efficient ride on rolling terrain as well as during dynamic climbs.

TheRaw Finish, free of unnecessary paint, reduces weight while revealing the natural texture of the carbon. This technology highlights the UD fibers visible at certain angles of light, a sign of high-end, authentic craftsmanship. The aerodynamic rim profile promotes excellent air penetration and improves stability in crosswinds, while ensuring a smooth transition between the tire and the rim.

The in-house developed SCOM hubs feature a modular design that facilitates maintenance and conversions. The 36-tooth ratchet system ensures rapid engagement and exceptionally stable power transmission during acceleration.  This design combines the ratchet’s two rings into a single, self-contained module, replacing the traditional assembly. This innovation improves operational precision, reduces mechanical play, and significantly simplifies maintenance, particularly when working on the bearings.

The widened flanges allow for better balance of stresses between the two sides of the wheel to optimize stiffness and steering precision. This technical architecture helps minimize energy loss and improve the wheel’s overall performance during intensive use.

The wheels are built with SAPIM CX-Ray spokes, renowned for their lightweight construction—nearly as light as titanium—and their excellent performance in strength and wear tests. Their aerodynamic profile contributes to the wheel’s overall efficiency.

Each component undergoes intensive testing that simulates real-world conditions to ensure long-term reliability and consistent performance for the most demanding cyclists. These wheels are alsoUCI-approved for use in competition.
