Description
RockShox Maxima SG920 is a seal grease developed by Maxima Racing Oils and selected by RockShox for its latest suspension products. It combines organic friction modifiers and synthetic polymers to significantly reduce breakaway force and friction at the seals, bushings and O-rings.
It stays in place over time, resists water and washing, limits the ingress of dust and moisture, and maintains its performance in cold weather, allowing longer intervals between services. It is compatible with NBR, fluoroelastomer, urethane and silicone seal materials.
The 454 ml tub is intended for workshops that regularly service recent RockShox suspension products.
Can I use it on an older RockShox fork or shock? No. RockShox states that SG920 is only for products designed to use it and is not backwards-compatible with older models. Always check the service manual for the recommended grease.
How does it differ from other RockShox greases? SG920 reduces friction further during operation and works across a wider temperature range. Products that use it have been specifically designed around these properties.
Can it be replaced with another grease? No. For products designed to use SG920, RockShox recommends using only this grease.
