RockShox Maxima Plush 3WT suspension oil is a high-performance hydraulic fluid developed in direct collaboration with Maxima Racing Oils. Specifically formulated for lightweight suspension systems and latest-generation cartridges, this very low-viscosity oil ensures exceptionally smooth operation and maximum responsiveness to small bumps.

Thanks to exclusive additives, it considerably reduces internal friction (stiction), eliminates valve operating noise and extends seal life. Its high thermal stability prevents damping fade (fading) on long descents, delivering a consistent feel from the first minute of your ride to the last.

Can I use this 3WT oil instead of 7WT in my Monarch or Deluxe rear shock? No. Never change the viscosity grade specified by the manufacturer. 3WT oil is considerably thinner than 7WT: using it in a rear shock designed for 7WT would make the rebound uncontrollable and the compression too soft, compromising your suspension’s performance and safety.

Which RockShox suspension models is this oil primarily recommended for? It is primarily recommended for servicing the damper in ultra-lightweight rear shocks, such as the SIDLuxe, or filling certain damper cartridges in high-performance forks, including the SID and Charger ranges. What is the difference between 3WT oil and lower-leg lubricating oil, such as 0W-30? 3WT oil is a hydraulic fluid that circulates inside the sealed damper cartridge to control compression and rebound speed. 0W-30 is a lubricating oil placed in the bottom of the fork lowers to lubricate the bushings and stanchions. They are not interchangeable under any circumstances.

How long does the oil keep once the bottle has been opened? If tightly resealed and stored away from moisture and direct heat, a bottle of hydraulic oil will keep for 2 to 3 years without losing its lubricating properties.
