"Very high quality, all-metal, easy to assemble, and works right away"
"The braking is sufficient for cross-country riding, and the J-kit is fairly easy to install. However, the brake line is a bit long, even on a 29-inch bike; I didn't shorten it to avoid having to bleed the brakes. We'll have to see how reliable it is over time. It’s a shame there isn’t a shorter, ready-to-use hose available."
"A high-performance braking system, ideal for upgrading an XC bike with stock brakes that are a bit underpowered. The hose is very long—even for an XL frame—so I had to shorten it by 30 cm. Installation is very straightforward, and the Shimano system is fairly easy to bleed if you have the small Shimano funnel. Note that the mounting system and third mounting point take up quite a bit of space near the handlebar, and unless you have a shifter from the same brand and generation, it will need to be mounted after the brake lever clamp. For some, this might seem like a long way."
