"Great product for the price."
"-Build quality: seems more solid than my original Promax brakes, which developed play around the handlebar mount. -In use: after just two rides, they make a lot of noise, and it doesn’t get any better in humid conditions. On the Probikes website, they’re sold with organic pads, which seems wrong to me—I’d say they’re actually metal pads, as my bike shop mechanic pointed out when I had them installed. . . we’ll see how it goes over time. -Regarding braking: the lever remains very precise, but the braking distance is long, even though I have Shimano vented rotors that worked very well with my Promax brakes. Additionally, I feel a vibration when the pads are just making contact. . . is this an adjustment issue or are these pads just poor quality? When I get back from vacation, I’ll discuss these issues with my bike shop . . . but I have a feeling I’ll have to replace the pads and rotors—I’d switch to ceramic pads in that case! -Aesthetically speaking: the piston body is bulkier and more imposing on the handlebars, and the lever seems shorter than my Promax - an average overall performance but with a superior finish compared to my Promax, so not a game-changer for a model that isn’t exactly an entry-level option either.
"Everything's fine, as usual. What more can I say? Especially since nothing else is in stock."
"Brakes really well and is easy to install. It's perfect for casual rides and trail riding!"
"Easy to install, a little longer than the original ones but it works. Fast delivery and a great price—what more could you ask for?"
